Collector's Notes: My husband and I were surprised to find a morel on our walk on a trail through and old cemetery. The cap had been partially eaten by something and the mushroom was lying on its side. It was growing on the side of the bluff at the base of a large grapevine, under some maples and elms. It was about 5 inches in length and 1.5 inches across. It looked like a yellow morel. Some other brown mushrooms that I cannot identify were near by.

Note: Collection identified by RFLP as Morchella esculentoides. Not sequenced; not cited in Kuo et al., 2012.
